BI 101 Environmental Biology

Environmental Biology has three topic areas:

Variety of species on Earth.

Biodiversity

Species interacting with each other and their environment.

Ecology

Conservation Biology

Human interactions with other species and the environment.

BI 101 has lectures, activities, & online resources

Tuesday and Thursday, 10 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. in LInC 100.

Lectures

Tuesday and Thursday, 10 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. in LInC 100.
A longer activity that typically runs one hour and 50 minutes each week.

Laboratory

A longer activity that typically runs one hour and 50 minutes each week.
A shorter activity that typically runs 50 minutes each week.

Recitation

A shorter activity that typically runs 50 minutes each week.

Online Resources

What you are doing right now, these prepare you each week for the lectures and activities.

This week (\”welcome week 0\”) includes lecture on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in LInC 100 and a 50-minute Flowers activity.  Whether you are scheduled to have lab or recitation on Thursday or Friday, everyone is going to meet for 50 minutes to complete the Flowers activity.

Grades are based on exams, digital posts, and journals

There are two \"midterm\" exams during the course and a final exam.
